Hours of Operation:

The before school program opens at 7:00am and is open until the start of school. The after school program is open from school dismissal until 5:30pm.

Fee:

Fees are paid monthly on the 20th of the preceding month.  For example, the September payment is due by August 20. The fee for before school is $230.00 per month, after school is $310. 00 per month, before and after school is $432.00 per month.

Deadline:

The registration deadline for the first week of school is August 14, 2026 with the first payment due on August 20, 2025. Registrations will be accepted after August 14 based on staffing and start dates will be August 31 or later. Please plan accordingly as there will not be exceptions to this date.

More about our camp:

Welcome to the Bloomfield Extension Program, a before and after school enrichment program in operation for students at the following schools; Wintonbury Early Childhood Magnet School (WECMS), Laurel, Metacomet, and Carmen Arace Intermediate School.

 

The Extension Program is designed to offer enrichment activities to students which include recreation and games, arts & crafts, organized sports, homework assistance (Laurel, Metacomet and CAIS) and time for the students to pursue their own interests in a safe and supportive environment.

 

The Extension program is administered by a Program Director and has a Coordinator at each of the schools to support the daily operations.  Many of the Extension team members are also employed in another role by the Bloomfield Schools which allows for consistency throughout your child’s school day.

 

The Extension Program also operates a full day camp during the summer.
